A Blue Jay from day 1, the Jays were forced to trade Halladay at the end of 2009 where he signed a 60 million dollar contract with the Phillies. On May 29, Halladay pitched the 20th perfect game in MLB history, against the Florida Marlins in Miami, retiring all 27 batters, including 11 strikeouts, no hits, no runs, and no errors. At 9:23 p.m. ET, when he got pinch-hitter Ronny Paulino to hit a grounder to third for the 27th out.
His stats for 2010 were an impressive 21 wins with only 10 losses, 251 innings pitched, 219 strikeouts, 2.44 ERA and a 1.04 whip.
Halladay recorded 2 PERFECT GAMES in 2010 - 1 in the regular season and another in the playoffs!
